Apu’s children grow up as expected, but Maggie doesn’t

According to science, time is relative, meaning that the rate at which time passes depends on our frame of reference. In other words, each individual perceives time differently. We can find a great example of this in The Simpsons TV show.

The scientific principle of time relativity explains perfectly why Apu and Manjula’s children seem to grow up while Maggie remains a one-year-old for decades. Perhaps time passes faster for the Nahasapeemapetilon family because they’re busy raising eight children, so they age more quickly.
