This teenager had to wait 13 hours to find out they had broken their neck
Going to the ER always means waiting for at least an hour or two to get medical care. Excessively long waiting often leads to higher health risks. At the same time, lack of instant attention causes some patients to leave the hospital unattended.
This teenager, for instance, had to wait for 13 hours to receive medical attention. Perhaps the doctors assumed they only had minor neck pain. Still, they should’ve known that it was more severe than that when they saw their neck tilting back further than usual.
