Some doctors don’t know how to handle certain emotions
Doctors often appear to be cold and distant from their patients. Throughout their course of studies, they’re trained to remain detached from their patients’ emotions and their own. This attitude is closely related to being an ideal skilled and cool-minded professional.
However, we don’t think physicians should ignore patients who say they’d like to join their dead wives just because they don’t want to deal with emotions. That statement is a serious thing. It probably means the person needs psychological attention as soon as possible.
