An injury caused by domestic violence shouldn’t be dismissed
Domestic violence is a serious issue. Those who suffer from it often visit the ER looking for help with their injuries. Still, these patients tell their doctors they don’t know why they’re hurt, hiding the real reason behind the damage.
We’re glad that this person’s surgeon was worried about them and tried to ensure they didn’t suffer violence at home. Still, they shouldn’t get mad if their patient wants to keep information to themselves. After all, their job is to cure people, not question them.
