More often than not, young women have difficulty recognizing pregnancy symptoms because they haven’t received proper sex education. So, whenever a teenager goes to the hospital because of abdominal pain and weight changes, doctors have to make sure she isn’t pregnant.
We know that it’s hard for some young women to acknowledge that they’re pregnant. Still, if your patient insists that isn’t the reason behind their pain, you need to trust them. Besides, you can’t assume someone is pregnant without running a test on them.
