You can’t assume every mother wants her baby boy circumcised
In the US, circumcision is a common procedure hospitals practice on newborns. The country’s medical community regards this minor surgery as a prophylactic health intervention against some diseases. Hence, most doctors assume their parents want their baby boys to be circumcised.
Nonetheless, healthcare professionals should never take anything for granted. This woman didn’t explicitly state that she didn’t want her baby boy circumcised, but that doesn’t mean physicians can run away with him to circumcise him. Thank goodness she’s an attentive mother.
