This recruiter did not want to have a boring student
There are a lot of reasons why people can get rejected from college or from a summer research program. But there is something we would have never thought was possible. It is the first time we hear that someone can get rejected for looking too much like a nerd.
Looks should never be the reason why someone gets rejected from college. However, this teacher has a valid point if we must be sincere. In the end, they have the right to decide who will be their student, especially when it comes to a research project.
