Having a difficult name can get your application thrown out
It is clear that before an actual admission officer can review your application, it should go through some sort of computer program that can filter any fake submissions. However, this kind of software can only be as accurate as those behind the scene doing all the coding and programming.
If these programs are not in continuous revision, there is always a chance of serious issues in the application process. In this case, a name sorting system would throw out applicants that did not have a “common-sounding” name or address. At least this person was on top of the problem to keep it at a minimum.
