The Self-Absorbed Writer
There are two types of people in the world: those who love others as much as they love themselves, and those who love only themselves. The latter believe themselves perfect and better than anyone else. This can sometimes be called having a God complex.
First of all, we hope this lady had the opportunity to read one of the guy’s books to confirm that he was as good as he believed himself to be. His writing might actually have been terrible, and he probably said what he said to make himself appear talented. This is either a case of ego or insecurity.
