Constant Negativity
Yes, constant pessimism is unattractive because no one wants to always be around someone who never believes that things will get better. It can be draining to be around someone who sees only the negative sides of things or who talks about how bad things are and will always be.
Relationships are meant to be long-term, with plans and ideas for the future that will make the relationship stronger and better. Therefore, when one-half of that relationship refuses to look ahead or believe that there is even anything to look forward to, that doesn’t sound positive, fun, or meaningful at all.
