Sharing a Plate
That emoticon already says this user enjoys having their food shared with them. For some people, sharing food is a sign of intimacy and thoughtfulness. It is, literally, a shared experience. Some dates are into this. Some may not be. It is best to discuss the option before diving in.
If on a first date, it may seem rude to take from your partner’s plate with or without asking first. However, some people are excited to share dishes and may even find the act of doing so attractive. It just depends on each person and whether they think that sharing a plate is a sign of selfishness or bonding.
