Someone put the drain on a raised platform
When renovating your house, it can help to draw pictures of what you are envisioning so that the contractors have a better idea of what you want. This person certainly had the right idea when they made a drawing of what they wanted their shower drain to look like.
However, they failed to take into account that their contractor had no idea how to interpret perspective in two dimensions. That said, even if the drawing were confusing, which it is not, the guy should have realized that having a raised drain made no sense. Water does not flow upwards, right?
