The water inside froze and broke down the toilet
We have already mentioned how cold weather can cause several issues for homeowners. Of course, the pipes freezing or snow getting inside the house are some of the most common problems. However, common does not mean easy to fix.
This picture shows an even worse problem. It was so cold inside this bathroom that the water inside the toilet cistern froze. This caused the ceramic to break since water expands when it freezes. What is more, the only solution was to buy a new cistern and wait for this giant block of ice to melt to install it.
