Ferris Bueller’s Day Off: 4160 Country Club Dr., Long Beach, CA 90807
The 1986 comedy tells the story of Ferris, a teen who loves to cut classes. Determined that he was going to make one last duck-out before graduation, he calls in sick, “borrows” a Ferrari, and embarks on a one-day journey through Chicago.
The home where he started his infamous day off was set in Chicago but is actually located in Long Beach, California. The nearly 5000 sq. ft. estate was built in 1953 and still looks great today. It was used for the exterior and interior shots of the movie. It was sold to a buyer for $1m in 2014.
