The 1990s hit Home Alone was written by John Hughes and directed by Chris Columbus. The movie was an instant success and was greatly loved by viewers. It’s safe to say that every kid would’ve liked to take a tour of the sprawling Georgian manor; therefore, it is no surprise that the house, located in a suburb of Chicago, gets a lot of sightseers today.
The home has about 4200 sq. ft. of space and sits on half an acre of land. It was sold for a reported $1.5 million in 2012. Being a personal residence, it is impossible to get an inside tour of the house, but you can always view its exteriors.
