Mrs. Doubtfire: 2640 Steiner St., San Francisco, CA 94115
One can’t help but wonder what Miranda Hillard in Mrs. Doubtfire did for a living to afford the iconic Victorian home that is her San Francisco home, pay a ‘nanny’ and support her three children. Whatever it was, it earned her some serious money!
The house used for the exterior of the 1993 classic is a 3000 sq. ft. mansion that has been standing since 1893. Although it had always been a site for tourists and fans of the movie, the steps on the corner of the house became much more of an attraction after the death of Robin Williams, the actor who played Mrs. Doubtfire, as people left tributes to him on the steps. In 2016, the house was sold for $4 million.
