Cars are functional objects for us, but it doesn’t hurt if they’re also nice to look at, right? You may remember the iconic MTV show Pimp My Ride, which premiered in 2004. Owners of old vehicles called the production team to help them, so in the end, they were left with a restored version of their car, which often included quirky gadgets and features like an aquarium or chocolate fountain added to its trunk. These makeovers were so impressive they took the West Coast Customs several months to be completed. Unfortunately, some car owners outside this series also attempted to pimp their vehicles, but the results are pretty catastrophic. From Coca-Cola bottle wheels to a basketball hoop trunk, here are some upgrades that’ll make you think twice before taking your car to the mechanic.

It could be argued that the way you decorate your room is representative of your personality, whether you have floral bedsheets or dark-colored painted walls. Well, if this is what this car looks like, you can only imagine how crazy its owner must be.
