Lost in translation
This next image shows a complete menu of Arabic food as this happened in Saudi Arabia. If we look at this poster closely, we will appreciate many names of foods, perhaps literally translated into English. It seems like a joke. We can see several food names that sound pretty funny in this place.
This is not intended to offend Arabic food names. Rather, some of these translated names into English sound like names of possible metal bands. We can’t imagine an English-speaking person trying to order one of these dishes without being tempted to laugh when he hears the names of these delicacies.
