Hair on a canvas
When we imagine the lobby of a hotel, we think of a calming place with beautiful decor or furniture that make us feel like we have just entered a pleasant, soothing place to spend our vacation. However, in this image, we can see that the management of this particular hotel decided to hang a painting that looks like a photo of people’s hair stuck to white paper.
They say that art does not always have to be beautiful but should simply convey some feeling, and this painting does give us many emotions, but none of them are pleasant ones. This “piece of art” certainly has no place in a hotel lobby. It makes us think and wonder what was on the mind of the person who created it and the person who chose it for the lobby decor.
