From Beyoncé’s Documentary To Wonka’s Origin Story, These Are The Movies We’ll Be Seeing In December

Movies are released every month, but there is something unique about those released in December. Being the last month of the year, December is a period when many people have the time to watch movies. Since we’re approaching December soon, it only makes sense to know what movies to expect- that’s where this article comes in. Here are five movies to look forward to in December 2023.

Poor Things

“Poor Things” is a black comedy fantasy movie based on the 1992 novel of the same name. The movie stars Emma Stone, Willem Dafoe, Christopher Abbott, Margaret Qualley, Mark Rufallo, Ramy Youssef, and Jerrod Carmichael.

It follows the story of Bella Baxter (Stone), who was brought back to life by her guardian, scientist Godwin Baxter. Her desire to break free from Godwin’s protection led her to run off with a passionate lawyer. “Poor Things” is set to be released on December 8.

Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom

If you saw the 2018 “Aquaman,” you already know this is the sequel and the final installment in the DC Extended Universe. “Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom” is directed by James Wan. So what should viewers expect?

The movie is about what occurred several years after the first film. In the movie, Arthur Curry fights to protect his people after David Kane gets the cursed Black Trident. Here’s the twist: He will have to partner with Orm, his imprisoned brother. The movie will be released on December 22.

Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé

“Renaissance” is a documentary concert film directed by Beyoncé. If you’re Queen Bey’s fan, you know that her “Renaissance” album was released in 2022, so you should know every song in this movie based on the album. It will appear on screen for at least four weeks.

“Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé” is a documentary about the creation of the 2022 “Renaissance” album and the development of the 2023 concert tour. From December 1, the film will be available in Dolby Cinema and IMAX.

Eileen

“Eileen” is a psychological thriller based on the 2015 novel of the same name. The movie stars Anne Hathaway, Marin Ireland, Jefferson White, Shea Whigham, Owen Teague, and Thomasin McKenzie. The movie was set in Boston.

“Eileen” is about Eileen Dunlop (Hathaway), a young woman who meets a counselor at the prison where she works. As the fascinating counselor helps her find out her personality, she might get into something dangerous. “Eileen” is set to be released on December 8.

Wonka

Do you remember the famous chocolatier Willy Wonka? Well, this movie is about his early days. Based on the characters created by Roald Dahl, “Wonka” is a musical fantasy. The movie stars Timothée Chalamet, Sally Hawkins, Keegan-Michael Key, and Paterson Joseph.

The fantasy movie explores Wonka’s days as a young adult who sold chocolate in a small shop– until he became a world-renowned genius for his candies. “Wonka” is directed by Paul King and is set to be released on December 15.
