The barricade to sleep
To book a hotel with complete peace of mind, guests want to know that they will feel safe within their room. They want reassurances from the hotel. However, sometimes, clarifications can make situations even worse. For instance, while there isn’t anything wrong with asking to turn the AC off before leaving the room, suggesting that guests make a barricade behind the door before going to sleep may leave guests feeling less than secure.
Guests would want to know why they need to barricade the door. If we were clients at this hotel, we would be confused and scared, and we hope we would never have to build a barricade.
