One great thing about human languages is that they are super creative. Every language has its own puns, tongue twisters, proverbs, and sayings that every native person uses without even realizing it. The funny thing is that these phrases make no sense when translating them.
This Spanish saying is an excellent example of this. “Pensar en la inmortalidad del cangrejo” or to think about the immortality of the crab sounds like complete and utter nonsense if you try to give it a logical meaning. However, to Spanish native speakers, it makes perfect sense.
