Spartacus is a 1960 American epic historical drama film. It was directed by Stanley Kubrick and written by Dalton Trumbo. The movie was inspired by the historical figure Spartacus. Spartacus was a Thracian gladiator who led a major slave revolt against the Roman Empire.

A Roman general announces that the group of formerly enslaved people will be crucified if they don’t identify Spartacus.
