They got home and found out that their sister was pregnant
Coming back home after being away for a while means that you will probably have a lot of people to catch up with. This family decided to pick up these siblings and give them the critical news right there at the airport.
In their defense, they simply wanted them to know all the relevant information before they got home. Nevertheless, it may have been nicer to find out about the pregnancy directly from their sister.
