Online gaming allowed people with similar interests to connect no matter where they were in the world. This person was about to meet an online friend for the first time and made them a sign only they would know what it meant.
To a layperson, those words might read like gibberish, but to a World of Warcraft fan, they are specs. Writing the message in code assured them that they would meet the right person because they would be the only ones to understand it.
