Struggling alone
When one is going through a difficult phase in life, either mentally or emotionally, their initial response is usually to keep their family members, close friends, and loved ones oblivious of the fact that they are struggling with their mental health. While it might result from a defense mechanism that many of us develop growing up, it is counter-productive.
People don’t realize that sharing and letting your loved ones in about your mental health state and depression is healthy when done mindfully. Rather than projecting your trauma or completely hiding it, there is a grey zone of perfect harmony that you should strive for. Even your partners will appreciate and help you through such times if you let them know about it.
