Family time is not ‘Me’ time
We all need a little time for ourselves every now and then. One can’t be expected to always prioritize the family over oneself because as hard a pill it is to swallow, relationships and families are a ‘part’ of one’s life. They are certainly not everything about one’s life, though. This idea is not toxic- we all need a little break from our monotonous routines and have some time to relax.
We hope that their partner ends up respecting and appreciating their decision and lets them have some much-deserved time alone. This is especially applicable if you are dating an introvert.
