Men do this ever since they are teenagers or young adults and save up whatever money they make to get themselves something they are passionate about or is their hobby. Nobody but men would understand how reasonable it is to pay five-thousand dollars for woodworking tools because it is not just about repairing stuff, it is like a gallery, a collection of tools that men flaunt in front of their friends.
We wonder what the consequences will be if his partner finds out how much money he spent on those tools. Probably a stingy faceoff because his girlfriend won’t understand the sense of accomplishment he feels when he ‘creates’ stuff, even if it is just a random woodwork shelf!
