She wanted to prove women were not bad drivers, but failed
Women are used to being underestimated, and a particularly persistent stereotype is that women are bad drivers. This user’s mother just wanted to prove herself to the misogynistic attendant, but unfortunately, her frustration got the better of her.
While the couple certainly did not deserve to have their luggage run over, the woman must have felt horrible messing up when trying to prove a point. It is no wonder she got mad at them. Hopefully, the attendant knew to keep his mouth shut during the whole ordeal.
