It’s not the death, it’s the pain that terrorizes people
It’s true, people don’t fear death as much as they fear pain and suffering. Many people are comfortable accepting the idea of death as long as it comes peacefully and without torture.
This guy witnessed a man that had been shot, and half of his head and brain spread around while he was lying there agonizing in pain, making the hairs on our head stand. We are sure any soft-hearted person would have fainted on that spot after witnessing such a gruesome scene.
