This Redditor’s parents met on a blind date. She tells the story of how her father asked her mother to marry him after two weeks of dating. She turned him down.
He was strong-headed and kept on trying until she finally said yes. They were married for ten years though now divorced. They had two kids, which the mother took care of while the dad went back to school. When he was done, the mother wanted an education as well. He said no, attributing it to the end of their marriage. Maybe this is why you shouldn’t rush into things with someone you just met.
