Persistence is key
After three years of dating, this Redditor proposed to his girlfriend. She declined and said, “not right now.” He tried his luck again after a year and a half. She still told him no and not only a no but not yet. He hung on with the hope that she would eventually be ready. He, however, devised a plan to confront her with a definite answer and not a two-way thing anytime he proposed again.
Guess what? He got a yes from her eight months later. The best part of the story is that they have been married for 30 years. Persistence, and sometimes an ultimatum, is key.
