Parenting someone else’s child
This thread is full of people being terrible parents, and either their kids or other passengers on the same flight who were near them ended up suffering for their negligence. Anyone would have helped a child who was clearly not feeling well on a flight and seemed alone; while this wouldn’t have been an issue, it starts to look like an issue when one learns that the parents were around and made you do what they should be doing.
That mother was clever and outsourced her responsibilities to this woman. We wonder how her day went after that; she would probably be too skeptical to help anyone for the foreseeable future.
