Batman kidnapping a national was legally supported in Dark Knight
Many acts go against the law of each country, and one of the acts frowned on is kidnapping. We understand that something usually goes along with this when it happens, and that is ransom. However, few of us know that the law backs a kidnapping.
In the 2008 movie “Dark Knight,” Batman journeyed to a foreign land just for the abduction of a national, subjecting him to U.S. jurisdiction. We would think this act violates international law, which it is, making Batman a hypocritical abductor. No! That wasn’t the case. This act is known as “extraordinary rendition” and is 100% legal under US law.
