He is not photogenic so he had to give some clarification
Have you ever been on a dating app and discovered that the person’s photos do not reflect what they really look like in person? This student believes that his yearbook photo does not adequately represent him. And he felt the need to clarify things.
Sometimes, pictures do not tell the truth. Since our brains are built to see things slightly differently in person versus in images, pictures appear to be much harsher than real life. Some people just are not photogenic and it is alright. It is not for everyone to be a model.
