Randey, just wait until you start college. The bike will become a motorcycle, and the lava-like ground will become genuine lava. After that, it is worse than a flaming hell once you graduate from college. And those are supposed to be the best years of your life.
However, maybe he has a point. Sometimes, school curricula are not always designed by people who have a lot of experience with, or talent for, the outside world. Moreover, academic success may not determine your success in life after school.
