He wanted to follow the family tradition of growing a mustache
Many people take family traditions very seriously and do their best to honor them any way they can. What this guy did is probably a mockery of those traditions. All of his male relatives have a mustache, but he can’t grow one.
He saw the situation in a funny way and got this tattoo instead. We must admit that his humor is a bit weird. He already has an erased tattoo on his chin, so we could say that he isn’t willing to learn from his mistakes.
