Hearing chimes in the forest
Our environment significantly determines our response to particular sounds we hear. For instance, a jingle of wind chimes on a summer afternoon might make us jolly thinking about the ice cream truck. However, the same sound in an isolated forest might creep us out.
The presence of metallic wind chimes in an isolated forest is just so unnatural that it is bound to catch anyone’s attention. Thanks to all those horror movie marathons, we can assume something’s not right there.
