Being called “pumpkin” by your boss is kind of weird
The best you can do in most jobs is to keep a formal relationship with your boss. No nicknames, no pet names, just treating them with respect. Although bosses always keep their distance between themselves and their employees, the following picture shows how a text message can blur the line between respect and endearment.
There’s no doubt that @Nadraaaa_ lived a surprising and unexpected situation when her boss called her Pumpkin. They corrected themself ASAP, but the shock didn’t wash away that fast. We must recognize that Cornelia replied without paying much attention to their slip, but it doesn’t make it less weird. And funny.
