The autocorrect feature made this Craigslist negotiation a bit weird
Thanks to the Internet, many sites online allow people to dispose of their old belongings and win some extra money. Negotiations are an everyday thing, and sellers are used to them. However, our old friend, the autocorrect, can make it all weird, and here’s an excellent example of a negotiation that got awkward because of it.
Twitter user @DaveLowedown was negotiating with someone on Craigslist when the buyer asked for his “lactation” instead of his “location.” People don’t seem to realize that it would be less risky to send messages without using the autocorrect feature. We don’t want to think about the mess it would cause if this kind of mistake happened in a more serious environment.
