Use Soap to Mark Your Fabric For Sewing
If you sew and are out of chalk for marking your fabric, you are in luck! There is an alternative that works just as well. Just get a bar of white soap and use it to mark your materials.
The soap will glide over the fabric without difficulty and may be even better than chalk as it doesn’t stain your hand. The soap does not seep through the fabric and will leave behind no stain. If you are worried about the smell of the soap, you can use an odorless soap, then proceed to cut your fabric following the markings made.
