Christina Ricci’s phobia keeps her from getting indoor plants
Who has not loved Christina Ricci’s role as Wednesday Addams in the 1999 film adaptation of The Addams Family? One could assume that someone that has played the part of a child that is fearless and also a little scary would not have a weird fear like this one, but she does.
This actress has a great fear of indoor house plants. The scientific term for this is “botanophobia.” For Ricci, touching a plant that has any type of dirt on it feels like torture. We understand that touching dirty items is not a pleasant feeling, but calling it torture seems a bit of a stretch.
