Pluto’s removal from the list of planets was mourned in this classroom
According to the International Astronomical Union, Pluto isn’t a planet in our solar system. This is because in the early 21st century astronomers found celestial bodies of comparable size, and some argued that Pluto shouldn’t keep its planet’s status.
But what about the millions of out-of-date educational posters aimed at teaching kids the planets? Those printed prior to 2006 obviously featured Pluto on the list. Instead of buying an updated version, this teacher came up with a brighter alternative.
