Every student will identify with this explicit “back to school” message
You may recall how nerve-racking every first day back at school used to be. Besides catching up with your friends over what you did during the holidays, you had to sit at your desk and resume learning all about your least-liked subjects.
This teacher acknowledged their student’s first-day-blues by showing an honest sign on the classroom’s blackboard. Although “Welcome back suckers!” isn’t the friendliest of greetings, the video game analogy on top is pretty accurate. Maybe this helped reduce students’ nerves and put a smile on their faces.
