Some take their fake posts seriously. This person posted that their plane had a window that was coming off. The photo they took could be compelling. There may be some liars who try hard to make their stories believable.
But there will always be someone more intelligent than them. Another user found the airplane registration number and proved that it was in storage —a bad day for lying about aircraft.
