These mittens look like anything but mittens
Not even big companies can save themselves from Christmas merchandising mishaps. In 2016, McDonald’s released a limited version of the red cup they use for serving McCafé. The holiday design reads “Warmest Greetings” over two white mittens and a few colorful snowflakes and stars.
The cup seems innocent when we describe it like that, right? But see this image with a few scribbles that look like hands. The slight variation does wonders to transform the design into an offensive looking-gesture. The shape speaks for itself.
