Most people are probably drawn to retiring in Kentucky due to the horse races, good bourbon, and relatively mild weather. However, there’s more to this state than most people acknowledge. For example, it offers a low cost of living and has plenty of tax breaks for senior citizens.

Although there are many positive aspects to choosing Kentucky as a retirement spot, you also need to know that this state’s healthcare system may pose a problem. Besides costing about the same as the US average, it isn’t as good as you’d like it to be.
