If you were a teenager in 2004, odds are you have at least one photo looking like this. That hairstyle and clothes: we thought we looked hot as fire, but now we look back and realize the truth.
This picture is a metaphor for that: it is like we, grownups, already see what is going to happen, and we want to tell this girl, “You are not going to like what you’ll see when you look back”.
