It does not fit
This, more than mansplaining, can be considered discrimination, but it could also have happened that this man felt shame, and that is why we are going to give him the benefit of the doubt. We continue to believe in good intentions.
While it is true that many jobs discriminate against women, and men are seen as more skilled, this does not appear to be the case because this man seems to have felt uncomfortable and preferred to be assisted by a man.
