Older brothers and sisters are the most annoying of them all. They are always trying to scare their younger siblings by telling them weird stories. It seems like their main goal is to see how far they can take it and how long the kid will believe these lies.
If you think about it, @officialumairs did his little brother and his parents a favor. By saying that properly brushing his teeth prevented brain freeze, his brother probably started to incorporate better brushing habits, which must have resulted in better dental health. But the poor kid still deserved to know the truth.
